Getting to MIT
TRANSPORTATION FROM OUTSIDE OF CAMBRIDGE AND BOSTON
We strongly advise that visitors planning to drive to Cambridge park at an MBTA commuter rail or subway station and use public transportation to travel to campus. Many of the MBTA subway and commuter rail stations offer parking, which you may prefer over driving into the city. Please refer to the MBTA's trip planner to find the station nearest to you—the MBTA website is also useful for finding fare information and daily parking rates at individual stations.

Once you're here, you can get around campus on the MIT shuttles that will run throughout the day.
