DNAtrium

The DNAtrium lies at the intersection of science, technology, art, and community in the lobby of the Broad Instituteā€™s 415 Main Street building. This unique space features three exhibits showcasing how new scientific approaches and collaborations are propelling progress in biology and medicine.

Science in Action
Get an up-close-and-personal view of machines used to analyze microarrays, screen compounds, and sequence genomes, and hear from scientists about the revolutionary research these machines have performed. Use the touchpads to navigate through the videos at each of three stations, and take a close look in person at the machines featured in each video.

DataStream
The DataStream takes real data from multiple platforms and displays it in an exciting and meaningful way. A torrent of information streams by, showing data from genome sequencing, microarray analysis, and chemical screening. To learn more about the techniques used to create these data, watch the videos featured in the Science in Action exhibit.

The Phylogenetic Mobile
This 17-foot wide steel and aluminum mobile shows the profiles of 30 mammals that have had their genomes sequenced here at the Broad. The gently moving sculpture includes an elephant, armadillo, dolphin, dog, cat, human, and many more, and illustrates the evolutionary relationships between these organisms.
