MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI), MIT’s flagship international education program, supports MIT’s educational mission by creating hands-on, international learning experiences for MIT students that are related to their course of study. Students are prepared to speak the language of international collaboration through immersion in the language, history and politics of their host country, intensive retreats and MISTI trainings. Founded in 1994, MISTI has placed more than 6,000 MIT undergrads and graduate students with internship, teaching and research opportunities in 20+ countries around the world.
