Tour the EECS Teaching Laboratories!
Come get an inside look at the educational laboratory facilities used by over a dozen electrical engineering and computer science classes!
Groups of 20 guests will be led up to the 5th floor of Building 38 and guided through a hands-on prototyping space: EDS - Engineering Design Studio.
This bright new makerspace combines aspects of a design studio, machine shop, and classroom to enable practical engineering education.
EDS services both classes and research, and is available to all students across campus for personal projects.
In EDS you'll get to use machines and see how hardware is built - with demonstrations of soldering,
laser cutting, thermoforming, circuit board milling, design software, and 3D printing.
Just outside of EDS, you'll find numerous student-built class and personal projects, for more live demonstrations!
Tours will meet and depart every hour on the hour from the Building 38 first floor lobby.
